Mental Health and Wellbeing Plan: Discussion Paper and Call for Evidence by July 2022
With mental health issues becoming more prominent in discussions inside and outside the workplace, the Department of Health and Social Care are seeking views on what can be done to improve mental health and wellbeing for everyone.
They have made a commitment to improving mental health and wellbeing outcomes, particularly for people whose outcomes are poorer than the general population and are intending to address the problem by developing a cross-government 10-year plan for mental health and wellbeing for England.
This consultation seeks views from the public as a means to help them develop an effective plan, and would like feedback on how society can:
o promote positive mental wellbeing;
o prevent the onset of mental ill-health;
o intervene earlier when people need support with their mental health;
o improve the quality and effectiveness of treatment for mental health conditions;
o support people living with mental health conditions to live well;
o improve support for people in crisis.
Responses to this consultation can be submitted on the consultation's website: Call for Evidence: Mental health and wellbeing plan.
The consultation is open to responses up until the 5 July 2022.
