Who are IEMA?

IEMA (Institute of Environment Management and Assessment) are the leading professional body in the UK for those working in the environmental and environmental sustainability fields. IEMA take a lead role in promoting environmental sustainability including being involved with and being the organiser of the Broadway Initiative and being part of the Aldersgate Group.

IEMA was formed in 1998 from merging the Institute of Environmental Assessment (IEA), the Environmental Auditing Registration Association (EARA) and the Institute of Environmental Management. IEMA also later merged with the Global Association of Sustainability Officers (GASCO) in 2014.

A membership organisation, IEMA supports learning in numerous subsets of environmental industry, such as environmental management, environmental and EMS auditing, environmental impact assessment and sustainability.
