Introduction

This 2-day CQI and IRCA certified training course provides information on the requirements of ISO 45001:2018. The course is intended to enable participants working with, or auditing, an occupational health and safety management system (OHSMS) based on the OHSAS 18001:2007 standard and to plan the migration of their system to the ISO 45001 standard or for auditors to understand the changes and additional requirements of this ISO standard.

Important: Whilst this course retains approval from the CQI and IRCA and remains a route to updating your knowledge and skills, it will no longer support your registration with the CQI and IRCA as an ISO 45001 approved auditor.

Who should attend?

This course is essential if you are:

• A first, second- or third-party OHSAS 18001 management systems auditor wanting to learn about ISO 45001:2018
• A first-party auditor working for an organisation that applies the OHSAS 18001:2007 standard and are migrating to the ISO 45001:2018 standard
• OHS practitioners who are working with the structure and requirements of an existing OHSAS 18001 OHSMS and are looking to apply the ISO 45001 requirements to your OHSMS

Prior Knowledge

To gain maximum benefit from this course attendees should already be familiar with the content and structure of the OHSAS 18001 standard.

• The requirements for understanding the organisation and its context and how they may be audited

• Risk-based thinking in an OHSMS and how this extends to requirements for risks and opportunities and how they may be audited
• The changes from a procedural approach to a process approach and how they may be audited
• How to adapt your auditing technique to accommodate the requirements in ISO 45001:2018
