Wendy Bowman

Wendy Bowman - Senior HSE Trainer and consultant

Wendy Bowman is a highly experienced trainer and consultant specialising in environmental and occupational health and safety management systems. For more than 26 years, she has supported organisations in developing, implementing, and maintaining effective systems aligned with ISO 14001, OHSAS 18001, and ISO 45001 standards — helping them keep their houses (and the planet) in order. Wendy began her journey with IQ Management Systems in Sunderland, which later became part of SAI Global before evolving into iqms Learning. Over the years, she has delivered countless IRCA/IEMA-approved auditor training courses, supported the development of Environmental Management Systems (EMS) and Occupational Health and Safety Management Systems (OHSMS), and helped businesses embrace sustainability and safety with confidence — and sometimes a sense of humour too. Wendy is an approved trainer for IRCA-registered courses in ISO 14001 and ISO 45001, proving that even serious standards can be made engaging in the right hands. Outside work, Wendy is an avid Sunderland football fan, loyally cheering on her team through every high, low, and everything in between — demonstrating the same resilience she brings to her professional life.

David White

David White - Company Director & Senior Lead Consultant

David began his journey in ISO Management Systems as a Quality Manager at British Steel before moving on in 1992 to become a Lead Auditor with LRQA. Over the years, he rose through the ranks, eventually becoming LRQA’s Global Training Business Manager and later their Global Strategic Learning and Development Director. In this role, he oversaw internal technical and professional learning, as well as LRQA’s global commercial training businesses across 38 countries. After taking early retirement in 2016, David spent four years running his own consultancy business before a brief tenure with SAI Global. He then co-founded iqms Learning, where he continues to consult and teach with passion. Outside of work, David is a keen musician, playing guitar and singing across a wide range of genres—from BB King to Pink Floyd, with a surprising knack for emotional pop ballads and even iconic musicals by Sir Andrew Lloyd Webber. As the oldest (and only) Grandad on our team—a fact we never let him forget—David brings not only invaluable experience but also a great deal of wisdom and humour, making him a cherished member of our organisation and a valued resource for our customers.

Marie Jackson

Marie Jackson - Operations Director

Marie’s journey with management systems began in 1999 when she started as an administrative assistant at the original IQMS. Following the company’s acquisition by a major corporate group, she continued to grow her expertise within the industry. In 2020, Marie seized the opportunity to return to her roots, joining iqms Learning as Operations Director. In this role, she oversees relationships with awarding bodies and training partners, while also managing the company’s financial operations.

Outside of work, Marie runs a small cake business, enjoys rock music and bottomless brunches, and thrives when planning parties — where her creativity and energy truly shine.

Helen Green

Helen Green - Customer Service Manager

Helen Green began her journey with IQ Management Systems in 2010 as a Training Administrator. Through company transitions — including becoming SAI Global in 2013 and then forming iqms Learning Ltd in 2020 — Helen steadily progressed to her current role as Customer Service Manager. With a focus on making life easier for both customers and tutors, Helen is dedicated to ensuring everyone gets the support they need (ideally with minimal stress involved). When she’s not busy solving problems and spreading calm, Helen can usually be found socialising with friends, spending quality time with her family, or heading off to sunnier places — because even customer service champions deserve a break in the sunshine.
